Professional Cartographic Styling

GIS Studio now has a full Properties panel for controlling exactly how each layer looks.

Style Tab

Every layer gets independent control over:

• Fill color and opacity — separate from outline color and opacity
• Outline thickness — from hairline to bold
• Point shapes — circle, square, triangle, diamond or star, with adjustable size
• Line patterns — solid, dashed or dotted

Six built-in presets (Default, Outline Only, Bold Fill, Subtle, Heatmap Red, Ocean Blue) apply a complete look in one click.

Classification Tab

This is the standout feature: style features differently based on the value of any attribute. Classify a roads layer by road type, parcels by zoning code, or points by category — each unique value gets its own color automatically.

Two coloring modes:

• Same color, different tones — generates a shade ramp from one base color, ideal for numeric or ordered categories
• Distinct colors — assigns visually separated colors, ideal for unrelated categories

Regenerate the palette anytime with one click, or manually override any individual class color.

Labels Tab

Choose any attribute field to display as a permanent label on the map, with control over font family, size and color — no more guessing which point is which without opening the attribute table.
